Chandni Chowk is one of the busiest markets in India. Located in the walled city of Old Delhi it was built in the times of Muhal emperor shahjahan and it doesn’t lost its color from that time. Today it serves as wholesale market for spices and masala items in delhi buzzed by thousands everyday chandini chowk also has some authentic Indian food, delicacies and sweets of more than 1,000 kinds.

Punjabi cuisine can be non-vegetarian or completely vegetarian. One of the main features of Punjabi cuisine is its diverse range of dishes. Home cooked and restaurant Punjabi cuisine can vary significantly, with restaurant style using large amounts of clarified butter, known locally as ghee, with liberal amounts of butter and cream with home cooked concentrating on mainly upon preparations with Whole Wheat, Rice and other ingredients flavored with masalas (spices). Roh Di Kheer, is cooked using rice. Rice is cooked for a long time in sugar cane juice.

dli is a south Indian savory cake popular throughout India. Idlis are usually served in pairs with chutney, sambar, or other accompaniments. Madurai is famous for its overnight idli shops and once can have hot and soft idlis even at 2 AM. Southern Indians have brought the popular idli wherever they have settled throughout the world.

The cuisine of Rajasthan is offers a fabulous variety of mouthwatering dishes. Rajasthani food is well known for its spicy curries and delicious sweets. Generally, Rajasthani curries are a brilliant red but they are not as spicy as they look.

The golgappa also known as panipuri is a popular street snack in India. It comprises a round, hollow puri, fried crisp and filled with a mixture of water, tamarind, chili, chaat masala, potato, onion and chickpeas. It is small enough to fit completely in one’s mouth.

Dosa

Dosa

The dosa is a fermented crepe made from rice and black lentils. It is a typical dish in South Indian cuisine, eaten for breakfast or dinner, and is rich in carbohydrates and protein. Dosa is a day to day diet for people in present day Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Karnataka and to some extent Kerala also.
