Darjeeling Toy Train

The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, nicknamed the “Toy Train”, is a 2 ft (610 mm) narrow gauge railway from New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling in West Bengal, run by the Indian Railways.The railroad line basically follows Hill Cart Road which is partially the same as National Highway 55. Usually, the track is simply on the road side. In case of landslides both track and road might be affected.

Yercaud

Yercaud is a hill station in Tamil Nadu located in the Shevaroys range of hills in the Eastern Ghats; the Yercaud hill area is called the Shevaroy Hills. As a popular tourist destination, Yercaud is also called as Jewel of the South. Summer Festival is held during the middle of May, when the annual festival of Lord Servarayan, presiding deity of the Shevaroy Hills, takes place.

Mount Abu

Valparai

Valparai is a hill station in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu. This is located 3,500 feet above sea level on the Anaimalai Hills range of the Western Ghats, at a distance of 95 km from Coimbatore and 55 km from Pollachi. There are 42 hairpin bends on the way to Valparai from Azhiyar. Valparai remains relatively undisturbed from pollution.

With one of the few evergreen forests of the world, it served as the summer capital of Bombay province during the British Raj. Shimla

Shimla a popular tourist destination often referred as the “Queen of Hills”. Located in the north-west Himalayas. Shimla is connected to the city of Kalka by one of the longest narrow gauge railway routes still operating in India,[2] the Kalka-Shimla Railway.

Matheran

Matheran is a Hill Station Maharashtra near Mumbai.Matheran is an eco-sensitive region, declared by the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of India. It is one of the few places in the world where vehicles are not allowed. There are lots of lookout points that provide spectacular views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Matheran has a reasonably dense forest cover.

Coorg (Kodagu)

Kodagu or Coorg located in the eastern slopes of the Western Ghats. Much of the district is under cultivation: characteristically and historically, paddy fields are found on the valley floors, with agroforestry in the surrounding hills. Ginger crops and meadows can also be found in the valley. The most common plantation crop is coffee.
